In an October 3 interview, rocker Melissa Etheridge said she is “heartbroken” over the allegations …
Francia Raisa didn’t hesitate when best friend Selena Gomez needed a kidney, but that doesn’t mean the process was easy. In the new issue of Self, Raisa says her social worker warned her the transplant and recovery would be difficult.
“It’s going to be hard, the recipient is going to glow and she’s going to recover a lot faster than the donor because she’s getting something she needs and you are losing something you don’t need to lose. It’s going to be hard,” Raisa says she was told.
The grown-ish star, 29, agrees it was definitely challenging.
“And it was hard … Selena and I both went through a depression,” Raisa admits. “Recovery was hard. I didn’t want to eat, I didn’t want to drink anything.”
Now fully recovered, Raisa says doesn’t regret saving Gomez’s life.
