In a newly-released video clip of his upcoming documentary, Chris Brown: Welcome To My Life, …
Former “Saturday Night Live” star and comedian Jay Pharoah opened up about being let go from the comedy show. He appeared on Hot 97’s “Erbo in the Morning” to tell his tale.
Last summer he was let go from “SNL” along with Taran Killam. He said on the show, “You go where you’re appreciated. If you have multiple people on the cast saying things like, ‘You’re so talented and you’re able and they don’t use you and it’s unfair. And it’s making us feel bad, because they don’t use you and you’re a talent.'”
He did note that he was unwilling to do certain skits at times and described himself as “fiery” at times. He also noted that he was rubbed the wrong way by “SNL’s” lack of diversity, particularly in regards to women of color.
