Mandy Moore Talks For the First Time About Her Non-Traditional Upbringing

December 2, 2016

In a candid interview with Byrdie, Mandy Moore talked for the first time about her family life and her upbringing, which began as “seemingly traditional” but quickly changed.

“I’ve never really talked about this,” Moore admitted. “My parents are divorced. My mother left my father for a woman. And both of my two brothers are gay.”

Moore says she grew up in a loving environment, despite the challenges her family faced. She learned from an early age to be her authentic self in order to be happy and fulfilled, and she says everyone in her family is “exactly where they should be” today.
