Ben Stiller Remains Cancer-Free Three Years After Prostate Cancer Surgery

September 20, 2017

Ben Stiller revealed he is healthy and cancer-free during a recent interview on Today. The Zoolander actor was diagnosed with prostate surgery in 2014 and subsequently underwent surgery.

“It came out of the blue for me,” Stiller told Matt Lauer of his surprise diagnosis. “I’m doing great. I was really fortunate that my course of treatment was basically an operation and that was it.”

Since his health scare, Stiller has been a vocal proponent of the blood test that revealed his cancer. Though the PSA Test is the only early screener for prostate cancer, it is not recommended before age 50. Stiller was diagnosed at 48.
